Join Our Caring Team
At Treehouse, we are always looking for qualified, passionate educators who believe that early childhood education is one of the most important and meaningful careers there is. If you want to work somewhere your contribution is recognised, your professional growth is supported, and the work you do genuinely matters, we would love to hear from you.
Our educators are not just staff members filling a roster. They are the heart of the centre. Every child who comes through our doors is known by name, by interest, and by the small things that make them feel safe and confident. That happens because of the people we hire, retain, and invest in.

Why Work With Us?
Competitive Remuneration
Your pay reflects your qualification level and your commitment to ongoing professional development. We offer remuneration that recognises your training, your experience, and the real value of the work you do.
We also offer standard leave provisions in line with your award entitlements. When you invest in your career, we invest in you.
A Genuinely Supportive Workplace
Treehouse is a centre where educators know each other, support each other, and share ideas openly. We have built a collaborative culture under the leadership of Centre Director Zarna Shah, who has been part of this team since 2012.
You will not be left to figure things out alone. Mentorship, open communication, and recognition of good work are part of how we operate every day.
Professional Development and Career Growth
Treehouse invests in your future. We support access to training programs, further study, and professional development opportunities that help you grow your skills and progress your career in early childhood education.
Our own Centre Director began as an Educator and worked her way through every role in the centre. Career growth here is real, not just a promise on a page.
Meaningful, Purposeful Work
Early childhood is not like other sectors. The relationships you build with children and families are lasting, and the impact you have during those first years of a child's life is immeasurable.
At Treehouse, we make sure educators have the time, the resources, and the support to do this work well. You will not be stretched so thin that you cannot give children what they need.
A Stable, Long-Standing Centre
Treehouse has operated from 2 Balmoral Street, Hillcrest since 2012. This is not a new centre finding its feet. It is an established, community-rooted service with a Director who has been here since day one and educators who stay because they genuinely want to.
Stability matters when you are choosing where to build your career. Treehouse offers it.
Work-Life Balance
We understand that educators have lives outside the centre. We work to support reasonable, predictable scheduling and a workplace culture that respects your time and your wellbeing.
Educator wellbeing is part of our service philosophy, not an afterthought. When our team feels supported, our children and families benefit too.
What We Look For
We hire educators who bring more than a qualification to work. Qualifications matter, and we follow all regulatory requirements for educator ratios and qualification levels. But beyond the paperwork, we are looking for people who share our values.
- A genuine love for working with children and a belief in the importance of the early years.
- Commitment to play-based, child-led learning as a philosophy, not just a buzzword.
- Respect for every child's individual background, identity, cultural heritage, and developmental pace.
- A collaborative approach. Treehouse is a team. We look for educators who communicate openly and support each other.
- Reflective practice. We want educators who think about what they do, why they do it, and how to do it better.
- A willingness to grow. Whether through further study, professional development, or day-to-day mentorship, we support educators who want to keep developing.
Current Opportunities
We do not always have a vacancy advertised, but we are always interested in hearing from qualified educators who want to be part of the Treehouse team.
If you hold a Certificate III, Diploma, or Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) and you are looking for a centre that values your skills and supports your growth, send us your expression of interest. We will be in touch.

Our Culture
Treehouse is not a corporate chain. It is an independently operated, community-rooted centre in Hillcrest that has been running from the same address since 2012. Our team knows each other. Our children know each other. Our families feel that.
We follow the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Framework, and we take both seriously. Our approach to learning is play-based and child-led, which means our educators are observers, guides, and partners in children's learning, not just supervisors.
Educator wellbeing is written into our service philosophy because we know that when our team feels respected, supported, and genuinely valued, that flows directly into how children experience every day at the centre.
Testimonials
“Treehouse has been my home away from home for the past five years. Since moving to Australia in December 2020, I have had the privilege of being a part of this family.”
“I am passionate about creating a fun, play-based environment where children can explore, take risks, and learn through adventure. Treehouse gives me the space and support to do exactly that.”
“I love partnering with families and watching children grow. After four years at Treehouse, I still look forward to coming in every day.”
